Fortnite is getting into the Halloween spirit with a special Power Hours: Spooky Dash Sprites event arriving on Saturday, October 10th. Players will have more chances to encounter spooky Sprites, find extra Pumpkin Chests, and explore the Island with a Witch Broom.
According to details shared by FireMonkey on X, the limited-time event will feature increased Sprite appearances and additional loot opportunities, making it worth jumping into Fortnite this weekend.
Fortnite Spooky Dash Sprites Power Hours Start Times
The Spooky Dash Sprites Power Hours event will run in two separate sessions on October 10, giving players more than one opportunity to take part.
Here are the announced start times:
- First session: 2 PM ET / 6 PM UTC on Saturday, October 10th.
- Second session: 9 PM ET on Saturday, October 10th, / 1 AM UTC on Sunday, October 11th.
If you want to take advantage of the event, make sure you jump into Fortnite before your preferred session begins.

Everyone Gets a Witch Broom
One of the highlights of the Spooky Dash Sprites event is that every player will drop into the Island with a Witch Broom.
This should make it easier to get around the map while searching for the increased number of Sprites and Pumpkin Chests. It also fits perfectly with Fortnite’s spooky seasonal atmosphere.
More Pumpkin Chests and Spooky Sprites
During the Power Hours event, players can expect to find more Pumpkin Chests scattered across the Island.
The Deer, Vampire and Spooky Dash Sprites will also appear more frequently than usual, giving players more opportunities to encounter them during their matches.
With additional Halloween-themed loot and more Sprites to discover, the event could be a great opportunity for players looking to make the most of Fortnite’s spooky content.
1-Up Tokens and Portable Extractors Could Drop
There is another reason to keep an eye on those Pumpkin Chests. According to the announcement, 1-Up Tokens and Portable Extractors may also drop from Chests during the event.
These additional potential drops give players another incentive to explore the Island and open as many Chests as they can find.
When Does Fortnite’s Spooky Dash Sprites Event End?
The announcement confirms two Power Hours sessions for October 10, but does not specify an exact end time for either session.
Players should check the in-game event information for any additional details before dropping into a match.
